Wow, the time sure flies!
We are in the middle of harvest and it seems everything is coming around at once. We have been haying as well as canning the garden. Yes, these things happen on all homesteads and all homesteaders are busy this time of the year.
Instead of sitting down and writing about our season so far I thought I would put photos in to have a little showing of what we have been up to.
Dazy checks on our Grandson on here way back to the pasture.
Some zucchini and garlic.
Our Grandson loves milking the cow with me.
Plenty of green beans to can.
Raking the hay.
Pulling the last of the garlic.
Fresh rolls out of the oven.
We have been busy, and we have also been taking time with our new Grandson,
after all he is our first and I feel so blessed and honored to become a Grandpa.
Soon I am hoping to get into a regular posting habit as we get our summer work done. There is so much to be accomplished before winter arrives this year. It has been three years since my cancer surgery an so far so good it hasn't returned. I am feeling more and more my self as time goes by and my strength has been returning.
Homesteading has been a reward well worth the effort we have put into it. I always thought that once the children were grown that Kelly and I would be able to cut way back and enjoy getting old together. But I guess we'll enjoy continuing to homestead as we age together instead.
God Bless you all.
